The Master of Forest Ecosystem Science (MFES) is a professional coursework degree designed for forest and environmental sector leaders and managers. Forests play a diverse and critical role in sustaining human and other biological communities at a local and global scale. Forests provide wildlife habitat and biodiversity conservation, timber production for high-value products, clean water and other ecosystem services — and they play a central role in mitigating rapid climate change. The MFES provides students with the skills that are essential to maintaining and improving forests for these and other values.
