Master of Forest Ecosystem Science FAQ's
A. The answer to this question depends on the subjects you have completed in your undergraduate degree and with the nature of your work experience since graduation. Generally credit will be given for subjects in the MFES where you can show overlap with subjects in your undergraduate degree. For example, if you have studied plant physiology at 4th year level, you would likely be given credit for Functional Tree Biology. For applicants with several years work experience, credit may be given for subjects in the MFES related to your employment.
Q. I have a four year undergraduate degree in Forest Science. How long will it take me to complete the MFES?
A. You may be eligible for up to 100 points (1 full year) credit towards the MFES. The MFES may therefore take you as little as one year full-time or two years part-time to complete. Normally you would be given credit for first year MFES (or 400-level) subjects, but this may vary depending on subjects you completed in your first degree.
